Our Managers
President Anthony Underwood Email: info@auautomotive.com In 1989, after completing the Ford dealer training program, Underwood opened his own store in Talladega. But running a new dealership in a small town during a slow economy soon overwhelmed him. When a tornado destroyed the dealership, Underwood accepted this as an opportunity to learn and move on. For the next two and a half years, he worked at a series of jobs, including used car manager, until the entrepreneurial bug bit again. Underwood rented a small trailer on the lot of a used car dealer, bought five cars and opened Dealers Trade Outlet, operating under the slogan "If we don't have it, we'll get it." Underwood then bought an old service station and grew the business from 1995 to 2002. In 2003, coming almost full circle, Underwood purchased the old Ford dealership property and opened his superstore. His second location, Guaranteed Credit Approval, operates from the old service station location. Despite just opening in early 2003, the lot already is selling some 70 cars a month.
Management Roderick Underwood A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Management, Roderick Underwood has been employed with Anthony Underwood Automotive since August 2000. Before Roderick was hired full-time as a sales manager at Anthony Underwood Automotive, he worked in many areas throughout the company including sales, clerical, and finance. Currently Roderick manages the Guaranteed Credit Approval location that consistently leads the nation in guaranteed credit approval sales.
Management Ryan Underwood Email: ryan@auautomotive.com A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Industrial Management, Ryan Underwood has been employed with Anthony Underwood Automotive since May 2001. Before Ryan was hired full-time as a sales manger at Anthony Underwood Automotive, he worked in many areas through out the company consisting of sales, service, and finance. Currently Ryan manages the Preowned Superstore location.
